Purple World is from JuanCarlos' iconic Flower of the Sun Series. This pieces has a rich and textured abstract background with a silhouette of a flower in the foreground. The fusion of the acrylic with the oil paint gives this painting a particularly interesting look, with the flower radiating at the helm of it. JuanCarlos used his streaks technique to make the flower, looping them along the stem, giving it an appearance of bloom.
As one may know, Flower of the Sun (Flor Del Sol) Series is a concept of a Flower of Love, growing and existing on the Sun. Upon seeing so much destruction on Earth, when it was to become, the flower asked its Creator to allow her to be born on the surface of the Sun instead, to forever remain engulfed in flames, as a protest to the ways we’re devouring our home planet...
