Flor's #AbstractPhotoReality Series
#AbstractPhotoReality is a concept of painted skies, created in 2015 by JuanCarlos rLora.
First debuted in 2017 by the Red Dot/Spectrum Art Fairs, under Planet3arth Art Exhibits.
It is a concept which visually combines imagination with reality, realism with abstraction, or real life with art, almost wanting to have the viewer step inside the piece, looking up at an abstract painted sky.
The narrative tells the story of a scientist who releases an agent onto the wind that stains pollution, each different pollutant in a different color, so it remains present and obvious (in front of our eyes) therefore, finally inciting us to seek change collectively.
The way it ties into our Flor del Sol story is that our protagonist “Flor” experiences or rather sees the world’s pollution in colors, finally convincing herself to ask the creator to allow her to exist on the surface of the Sun, as a protest to humanity’s destruction.
After extensive research to see if this concept of painted skies was being applied by any other artist, we came to learn that it was in fact not used by anyone, thus making JuanCarlos the first.
